Ingenioso is a descendent of the famous Spanish Terry and Military lines, tracing back to the great Maluso. His grandsire and granddam were bred by Romero Benitez. Ingenioso is schooled in dressage and enjoyed a very distinguished 14 year career performing with the Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament.
Ingenioso is a true gentlemen with wonderful manners, awesome moves, and an exceptional disposition. Because of his temperament, even the smallest child can ride him without fear. He has the classic Spanish conformation and head, a true Baroque example. He has only been bred a handful of times, so keep an eye out for his get, who are destined to excel at whatever discipline their very satisfied owners pursue. All of "Yosie"'s get have inherited his wonderful temperament.
At the 2001 SS Triple Crown Show, "Yosie" was awarded Champion Dressage Suitability, Champion Show Hack, and Reserve Champion Hunt Seat Open. At the 2001 Easter Regional Andalusian and Lusitano Horse Club Show, he was awarded Champion Hunt Seat Open, Reserve Champion Dressage Suitability, and Reserve Champion Show Hack. Ingenioso, or "Yosie" as he is known around the barn, was retired after a brief show career to a life of idle enjoyment, having truly earned it.
Although we are not breeding our own Andalusian stock here at Beaver Dam at this time, we feel that the world should not be denied this wonderful sire. Therefore we are keeping him at stud for a limited time. We are accepting not only purebred Andalusian and PRE mares, but registered Non Andalusian mares for the ultimate sport horse.
If you are looking for a sire with conformation, temperament, and classic baroque beauty, look no further than Ingenioso. Please contact owner Ann L. Van Dyke at rvan@sccoast.net for information on fees and booking.
